About Casey

My name is Casey Crookston, and I’m a weekend shudder-bug and videographer.

By trade, I’m a software developer.  But in reality, my full time job is what allows me the luxury of spending too much money on photography and DSLR film making equipment.

My current camera of choice is the Pentax K-30.  I’ve always been a Pentax guy, ever since my dad bought me a K-1000 for Christmas when I was 15 years old.  I used that trusty die-hard camera until I was married, and ever since, I’ve been trading up models.

Pentax users are a quirky, anti-establishment bunch, and we hang out at places like PentaxForum.com, a website that hired me to write some articles for them.

I have recently moved to the Detroit area, and I look forward to spending some time capturing images of the places and people in this curios, complex city.
